Tim Mosedale is a two times Everest summiteer with over 35 expeditions under his belt. Tim is going to
share some of his Everest footage and will recount some anecdotes to give something of an insight in to
what it is like to be a leader and what expedition life can really be like.
The River Tees begins its life amidst the tundra-like open spaces of Upper Teesdale (where the
sheep outnumber the people) and comes to an end surrounded by the industrial life of modern
Teesside. Along the way it flows over great waterfalls and through historic towns and associated
with it are figures as diverse as Saint Romald, Sir John Conyers (slayer of the Sockburn Worm), and
writers Sir Walter Scott and Charles Dickens. The lecture will portray this river of contrasts through
pictures, music and words.
